DEBBIE THOMAS has taken to under tion of in Brothers Home, Lib Jan. 13, DEBBIE George THOMAS Pzinski degree from MSU, and, at the age of 27, pointed her yellow Volkswagen Bug east (loaded to the roof) and began the next chapter of her life in the Washington, D.C., area. There, she met the love of her life, Bill Thomas, marrying and settling near Reston.

Debbie devoted her professional career to caring for people, including 28 years as a lead emergency room nurse at the venerable Sibley Memorial Hospital. She cared for the well-to-do and the homeless with equal and generous dosages of kindness. When the nurses at Sibley Hospital needed an advocate in their struggle for union representation, they turned to Debbie. In her time of need, these nurses returned the favor. Like a buffalo herd surrounding a newborn calf, they tenderly cared for their fallen leader.

Her family and friends and her beloved cats were the center of her life. She raised three wonderful daughters. Though her Virginia and Montana families and core friends were the primary beneficiary of her love and incredible positive outlook, there was collateral impact on anyone who came in contact with her. Christmas was her favorite time of year. The joy of giving was genuine with her: she did it all the time, in response to all situations.

She honored the maxim: you can take the girl out of Montana, but you can't take the Montana out of the girl. Like geese returning in the fall, she returned annually to reunite with her Montana family and friends: skiing powder on Lazy fly-fishing the Big Horn, crashing through whitewater on the Alberton Gorge, and watching blazing sunsets to serenading coyotes at the family's Smoke Creek farm in northeastern Montana. Debbie came from a "mixed family" (Bobcats and Grizzlies); the time it took for her to call any bet involving her beloved Bobcats was measured in milliseconds. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas, mother, Mary, and brother, Tommy Rush. She is survived by her beloved husband Bill Thomas; three devoted daughters, Katy, Jenny and Erin; and eight beloved grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brothers, Harry, Denny, Pat and Dick; her sisters, Aloise and Carla; 25 nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Debbie was a proud enrolled member of the Assiniboine Tribe of the Fort Peck Reservation. She passed in peace knowing she had enjoyed a great life. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Herndon on Nov.

was born 1925, to and Ella in New- LIB castle, Wyo. She JENKINS grew up on the family ranch north of Newcastle, a place she always cherished. She attended the University of Wyoming. She began her career with Carter Oil in Newcastle, moving to Billings a few years later. She retired when her daughter was born.

She married Joseph W. Jenkins in 1952. Following his disability retirement from Conoco, she returned to college, completing her BS at Eastern Montana College in 1972. Following graduation, she began a second career with First Federal Savings and Loan Association, rising to Controller and member of the Board of Directors before she retired. She loved fishing, playing bridge with the Ladies Evening Bridge Marathon, cooking, gardening, raising flowers and traveling.

Her greatest pride was her grandchildren. She moved to Texas in 2000 to be closer to her daughter and family. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren raise, show and train American Quarter Horses and attending their many 4-H activities. She was very active in St. Pius Catholic Church and the Exxon Annuitant Retirement group as well as the Conoco Retirees.

She enjoyed and cherished lifelong friends in Billings. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ella Pzinski; a brother and sister-inlaw, Ed and Judy Pzinski; her husband, Joseph W. Jenkins; and one grandson, Mark Pluhar. She is survived by a sister, Betty Doerfler and husband Harry of Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter, Jennifer "Jenny" Jenkins Pluhar and husband Darwin of Canyon; two grandsons, Joseph Jenkins Pluhar, College Station, and Zane William Pluhar, Canyon; and one granddaughter, Logan Elizabeth Pluhar, also of Canyon. She is also survived by several close cousins, Evangeline LeVeque of Sonnette, Kay Bjorklund of Thermopolis, and Marty Lines and Gen Roan, both of Newcastle.

Olivia Metzger Olivia 23, 1937, in Dodge, N.D. They later moved to Laurel. Olivia and Art had one son Kenneth and two daughters, Darlene and Carol. Olivia loved her church, fishing camping and playing cards. Most of all, Olivia loved her family.

Metzger, Dec. David W. Sullivan Scott Reinhardt Reinhardt BELGRADE David W. Sullivan passed away Nov. 2, 2007, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, due to complications of pulmonary fibrosis and congestive heart failure.

David was born in Belvidere, on Feb. 25, 1931. He was the only child of William and Mabel Sullivan, both deceased. David attended Belvidere High School and graduated in 1949. After graduation, he attended The Rockford School of Business.

David married Melanie R. DeHooghe, the love of his life, on Oct. 28, 1951, and had two children, Elizabeth A. Coffman and William R. He worked at various automobile dealerships as manager, including Don Norem Chevrolet of Bozeman.

He has been employed by Mountain Supply Co. for DAVID the past 30 years SULLIVAN DAVID SULLIVAN as manager of the Bozeman branch and later the Missoula branch. He returned to Belgrade in 2001 and recently retired from Mountain Supply due to poor health. Dave is survived by his wife, Melanie; daughter, Elizabeth (Dennis) Coffman of Billings; son, William of Belgrade; four grandkids, Lindsay and Leann Sullivan of Belgrade and Ryan (Jessica) and Nicholas Coffman of Billings. He enjoyed and loved his family, including his dog Riley, and especially talking or watching his grandchildren's various sports activities.

David grew up with a love of all sports. In his youth, he played football. Through his life, he has enjoyed all outdoor sports, including fishing, hunting, skiing, camping and, most of all, golfing. McKnight EUGENE, Ore. Douglas S. McKnight, 47, of Eugene, died Nov. 1, 2007, of a heart at attack. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m.

Glen Peters Rocky 1922 2007 Glen Peters, 85, passed away in Billings on Nov. 4, 2007. He was born in 1922 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Oscar and Hallie Peters. Glen, his parents and his brother Chuck moved to Glendale, in 1937, where he attended Hoover High School and met his future wife, Doris McCarthy. Glen joined the Army in 1945 and, on May 10 of that year, he and Doris were married.

During World War II, Glen received a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and a Silver Star, as well as a personal slap on the back from General Patton for the act of bravery that earned him the Silver Star. In 1947, Glen and Doris's only child, Jim, was born in Glendale. In 1949, Glen went to work for the Los Angeles Times, working his way up from the pressrooms to retire in 1987 as national retail advertising manager for the Times. Glen was proud to have worked at the Times during the years when Otis Chandler was publisher and proud to have known Otis. During these years he earned a BS in business and an MS in journalism, both from U.S.C.

Upon retiring from the Times, Glen continued two of his favorite hobbies: tennis and bicycling. He found time to serve as a youth advocate for delinquent youth in Los Angeles County. Glen was a longtime member of the Church of Christ, Scientist and worked for the Church in the communities he lived in. After Doris passed away in 2002, Glen moved to Billings to be closer to his son Jim, and his two grandchildren, Jane and Matthew. Glen had an active life here, traveling, spending time with his family in Billings, and keeping active at Westpark Village.

passing, Glen leaves numerous friends and colleagues throughout the country, from those he worked with at the L.A. Times to the numerous high school students who became part of the "Peters Family" in the 1960s while regularly visiting the family's Southern California home for evenings of jazz and conversation, and who are now spread around the world. Glen is survived by his son Jim, of Billings; and his grandchildren, Jane and Matthew. Glen's family would like to thank the wonderful staffs at Westpark Village and Valley Health Care for making his four and a half years in Montana both productive and comfortable. William T. Collins, 80, formerly of Great Falls and Billings, died in Phoenix, Nov. 3, 2007, of natural' causes. A memorial service will be held in Phoenix on Nov. 10.

Bill was born on May 28, 1918, in Billings, where he lived until 2002, at which time he and his wife Phyllis moved to Great Falls. He had worked at The Billings Gazette as a stereotyper and pressman until his retirement. He was a member of Al Bedoo Shrine. in Billings and the Billings Boat Club.

He especially enjoyed boating activities at Canyon Ferry Lake, where he spent many summer days. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of 66 years; sons, William D.
